At a ceremony that took place on August 24th, IHC subsidiary Palms Sports, the UAE-based sports management and training company, along with the UAE Mixed Martial Arts Federation (UAEMMAF), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT), cementing a collaboration between all three entities to make the capital of the UAE the global center of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
Having hosted several major international sports events in recent years — made possible by Abu Dhabi’s renowned hospitality, state-of-the-art infrastructure and outstanding facilities, which Palms Sports has proudly contributed to — this strategic agreement will play a key role in placing the capital on the MMA map globally.
At the ceremony, DCT also announced it had signed a five-year sponsorship agreement with UAE Warriors, the popular MMA fight events organized and relaunched in 2019 by Palms Sports, which will support the series and make it a leading event within the industry, in addition to boosting Abu Dhabi’s position as the preferred destination for sports tourism.
As always, IHC is proud to be a part of another key milestone in Abu Dhabi’s path to becoming a world-class sports and cultural destination, as well as being a major hub for several sectors, and we look forward to continuing our support of the nation’s vision of bettering lives, which aligns with our own.
