Palms Sports and Abu Dhabi Sports Council Sign MoU to Support Open Masters Games

Palms Sports has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, marking a significant milestone in the preparations for the Open Masters Games – Abu Dhabi 2026 and reinforcing a long-standing strategic partnership between the two entities.
The MoU was signed by Fouad Darwish, CEO & Managing Director of Palms Sports, alongside His Excellency Aref Al Awani, Secretary General of Abu Dhabi Sports Council. The agreement formalizes collaboration across key areas related to the planning, coordination, and delivery of the Open Masters Games, underscoring a shared commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and international best practice in sports event delivery.

This partnership reflects a unified vision to position Abu Dhabi as a leading global hub for major multi-sport events, while promoting active living, lifelong participation in sport, and community engagement across all age groups. Through this MoU, Palms Sports and Abu Dhabi Sports Council aim to leverage their combined expertise, operational capabilities, and institutional networks to deliver an event that meets the highest international standards and leaves a lasting social and sporting legacy.
