ESE School Jiu-Jitsu Program
The School Jiu-Jitsu Program (SJJP) is a key element of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu ecosystem, propelling Abu Dhabi to become the Jiu-Jitsu capital of the world. From humble beginnings, the prestigious program has been embraced by the youth of the nation as the ever-growing interest in Jiu-Jitsu continues to flourish across the UAE and afar. In 2022/23 the program registered 59,000+ students across 125 ESE schools honing their Jiu-Jitsu skills on a weekly basis. These figures are set to double with the pending addition of Northern Emirates schools.

Vacation Training Camps
Conceptualized under the intention of providing positive environments with which to build upon technical Jiu-Jitsu skills and enhancements to fitness achieved during term time, Jiu-Jitsu vacation training camps offer students the opportunity to further pursue the realization of their respective potential during the holiday periods. To date, over 260 vacation Jiu-Jitsu training camps have been delivered to more than 40,000 male and female students across the UAE.
ACTVET / ATHS
ATHS-SJJP offers many of the UAE’s most promising students a comprehensive grade 8-12 Jiu-Jitsu program across 8 schools in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The program has shown continuous growth since launching in 2015, now reaching over 6,800 students. Both male and female students have shown great interest in the program, with nearly equal representation from both genders (45% male and 55% female).

Active Hub
Abu Dhabi Sports Council, in cooperation with Emirates Schools Establishment and Palms Sports, launched the ‘Active Hub’ program in Feb 2022. The program, consisting currently of 125 sports coaches, provides public access to school sports facilities across 20 schools within the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Facilities are accessible after official working hours for male and female students, their families, and all members of the society. 12 sports offered to the public across 20 ESE schools. Over 66,000 students registered with more than 420,000 attendance occurrences since the launch of the program.

ZAYED HIGHER ORGANIZATION FOR HUMANITARIAN CARE AND PEOPLE OF DETERMINATION

Over the past two years, Palms Sports has provided Jiu-Jitsu training for special needs students within the Abu Dhabi Autism Centre, Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and People of Determination. Classes are delivered to students of a range of ages three times per day, three days per week by Palms Sports black belt coaches. The training provides a valuable opportunity for inclusivity and those with special needs to access the full advantages the sport of Jiu-Jitsu offers. The training program underscores Palms Sports philosophy of social responsibility for all members of UAE society and emphasizes the company's concern for the needs of individuals with special needs and commitment to helping them develop to their fullest.
ENS Muay Thai
Known as the ‘Art of 8 Limbs’, referring to the distinct use of elbows and knees, Muay Thai is amongst the most effective and renowned martial arts practiced today. Emirates National Schools called upon Palms Sports to implement Muay Thai training within select campuses in 2017, initially as a demonstration and pilot program. Fuelled by the popularity of the initiative, the program has since grown to encompass frequent training sessions throughout all 5 Emirates National School campuses, with experienced and charismatic coaches assigned to ensure the safety, development and enjoyment of all students.
Team 777
The ‘Team 777 by Palms Sports’ athlete program was inaugurated in 2020 to replace and enhance its successful predecessor program ‘Making of Champions’, which was managed and sponsored by Palms Sports targeting gifted Emirati Jiu-Jitsu athletes in the Ministry of Education’s School Jiu-Jitsu Program. Team 777 by Palms Sports continues to demonstrate exceptional tournament results, showcasing the ever-growing pool of Emirati talent produced from the multitude of Palms Sports development programs. Palms Sports provides a number of members with significant technical and financial assistance to support training and maximize progress.
Emirati-Fit Challenge
Palms Sports is passionate about establishing healthy patterns and instilling in young people the importance of keeping active throughout life. Working closely with the Ministry of Education, Palms Sports developed the ‘Emirati-Fit’ after-school training initiative as a unique program in which students encourage each other to fulfill their respective fitness objectives, lose weight, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Each class features age-appropriate activit5ies that have been extensively trialed and tested with Emirati youth and designed to help create a positive association with physical activity and exercise.
Traditional Rowing Tournament
In providing ongoing opportunities to mark the proud heritage of the United Arab Emirates, in 2019 Palms Sports initiated a traditional rowing program for cycle 2 and 3 students in select Ministry of Education schools across the 7 emirates of the UAE. The program culminates in an end of season tournament where the skills and development of students are showcased in an organized race between all participating schools. Winning schools are recognized as the first to hold the inaugural Ministry of Education Traditional Rowing Program Cup and their achievement showcased at a prestigious award ceremony.
