Abu Dhabi Showdown Week has been bolstered with the addition of another big night of fights, with UAE Warriors confirming to Fighters Only that they will be holding an event as part of the week-long festivities.
UAE Warriors 45 will take place on Friday, October 20 at a venue to be confirmed in due course, though one potential location option could be the world’s first “Khabib Gym by Palms Sports,” situated on Yas Island.
Abu Dhabi has fast become one of the major fight locations in the world, with their annual “Showdown Week” becoming the Middle East’s equivalent of “UFC International Fight Week” in Las Vegas.
And, UAE Warriors is set to take center stage, with an event held the night before UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi.
The event will precede UFC 294, with the MMA leader’s pay-per-view event set to be headlined by a lightweight rematch between champion Islam Makhachev and former champ Charles Oliveira.
Also booked for that card are a pair of middleweight bouts, with Paulo Costa taking on Khamzat Chimaev, and Nassourdine Imavov facing Ikram Aliskerov. A pivotal bout at light heavyweight was also recently added to the card, with Magomed Ankalaev and Johnny Walker set to face off at 205 pounds.

Prior to UAE Warriors 45, the promotion has two more shows on their event schedule.
UAE Warriors 43: Arabia and UAE Warriors 44: International will take place on back-to-back nights on August 25 and 26, respectively.
UAE Warriors 43: Arabia we be headlined by a champion versus champion bout, as UAE Warriors Arabia welterweight champion Badreddine Diani faces off against UAE Warriors Africa champ Wisem Hammami, while the main event of UAE Warriors 44: International feature a vacant UAE Warriors lightweight title fight between the undefeated Amru Magomedov and UFC veteran Alex da Silva. The duo will compete for the title vacated by Brazilian legend Bruno Machado following his recent retirement.
